Bagaimana naik motor di Nusa Penida?

Saya senang naik motor di sekitar pulau Nusa Penida di jalan baru. Namun, ada tiga aturan harus diperhatikan :
- Tetap di sebelah kiri saat Anda menemukan mobil atau truk yang terkadang melaju sangat cepat. Berkendara hanya di jalan yang tepat. Bukan di jalan kecil di sepanjang tebing (ini adalah kisah nyata, sesaorang pernah meninggal …).
- Pelan-pelan SEBELUM belokan atau turunan. Kebanyakan terjadi jatuh saat pengemudi mengerem tiba-tiba saat berbelok atau menuruni bukit dan ada kerikil di jalan.
- Jangan terlalu cepat. Pertama, karena Anda dapat bertemu dengan truk besar kapan saja, tetapi juga anak-anak atau hewan. Secara pribadi saya tidak menghindari kodok (sangat sering di sore atau malam hari) atau ayam (sepanjang waktu). Tapi saya menghindari anjing atau … babi. Kedua, karena Anda dapat melewatinya tanpa transisi dari jalan baru ke jalan rusak. Beginilah cara saya membuat suatu kesalahan besar saya dengan motor saat pergi ke Pantai Atuh.
Kondisi Jalan di Nusa Penida ?
Selain jalan utama, terkadang Anda harus berkendara di jalan rusak. Saran saya, mulailah menguji kemampuan Anda mengendarai motor di pulau Nusa Penida dengan pergi ke tempat-tempat yang memiliki jalan yang bagus : Crystal Bay, Goa Giri Putri , Pantai Atuh dan Diamond, Pantai Kelingking. Jalan menuju Broken Beach dan Angel Billabong kini juga baru. Setelah terbiasa dan nyaman, Anda dapat mengunjungi Guyangan atau Pantai Suwehan. Dan jika Anda merasa tidak nyaman, sewa mobil dengan sopir.
Mengemudi malam hari di Nusa Penida?
Malam benar-benar gelap sekitar 45 menit setelah matahari terbenam. Jadi sekitar jam 7 malam. Kalau jalannya bagus, berkendara pada malam hari terkadang lebih nyaman. Karena jumlah mobil dan truk lebih sedikit dan Anda dapat melihat mereka datang berkat lampu depan. Namun, Anda harus mengemudi lebih lambat dan lebih berhati-hati di jalan berkualitas buruk.
Peta Nusa Penida
Peta pulau Nusa Penida yang diproduksi oleh hotel Namaste Bungalows ini menunjukkan kualitas jalan raya. Ini cukup akurat kecuali untuk mengantisipasi renovasi jalan di selatan Tanglad ke Pantai Suwehan dan Tabuanan yang belum diperbaiki. Anda juga dapat melihat peta Google Nusa Penida saya di mana Anda juga akan menemukan lokasi 15 situs teratas untuk dilihat di Nusa Penida .
Harga penjemputan
Jika Anda membawa banyak koper, opsi terbaik adalah memesan melalui hotel Anda untuk jemput dari pelabuhan. Jika tidak, Anda akan menemukan pengemudi untuk mengantar Anda ke hotel dengan membawa barang bawaan Anda, tetapi harga mungkin lebih tinggi. Saya sudah pernah melihat seorang sopir meminta 300 ribu rupiah untuk mengantarkan wisatawan ke rumah pohon di dekat Pantai Atuh. A transfer from Banjar Nyuh to Kelingking should cost around 300k IDR. You might want to check with your hotel to arrange it.
A better option would be to hire a driver for the day, starting with a pickup at the port and a west island tour that includes at least Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Kelingking Beach, before dropping you off at your hotel.
I recommend reaching out to Roy—he can provide more details, arrange a driver for you, and even organize a snorkeling tour in the morning before your west island tour if you arrive early enough in Nusa Penida.

Thanks so much for your extensive information about Nusa Penida. We are currently in Lombok and we’re considering going next to Nusa Penida. However, our experience so far about the beaches and the snorkeling has been quite negative. We went yesterday to the southwest Gili and the beaches and sea were extremely dirty and the coral mostly dead which poor snorkeling. How about Nuse Penida? Is it worth it going there or are we going to have again to swim between trash to see only a couple of fish in a dead sea landscape ?

The coral reefs in Nusa Penida are generally very healthy and the visibility is very good. One of the highlights is the Manta Ray cleaning station, where you can observe the Manta Rays while scuba diving or snorkeling almost every day—except when the sea is too rough or on rare occasions when the mantas are not around.
During the start of the rainy season, some trash may wash into the sea due to runoff, but currently, the waters are clean.
For snorkeling, you can choose between a shared or private boat trip, and for scuba diving, there are options for both certified divers and beginners.

🌊 Snorkeling with Manta Rays – This is an absolute highlight. You’ll usually visit Manta Point plus a couple of beautiful coral spots like Crystal Bay or Gamat Bay. Even if you’re not an experienced snorkeler, guides will make sure you’re safe and comfortable in the water.
🌴 West Island Tour – Definitely worth doing:

Broken Beach (a stunning sea arch and viewpoint)
