Mangrove Dive site<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mangrove dive site is one of the great dive sites in Bali. It is a vast coral plateau<\/strong> situated on the North coast of Nusa Lembongan. It takes its name from the large mangrove area located in the eastern part of Lembongan, close to Nusa Ceningan Strait. Anyone diving Mangrove can see the important role of mangrove\u00a0in the local ecosystem. It indeed contributes to the health of the reef and the quality of the underwater landscape and corals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mangrove dive site is renowned for snorkeling, but its unique topography also makes it an excellent location for diving. The gentle slope allows divers to descend to depths of around 40 meters. Novice divers can practice in shallower areas, where marine life is equally abundant. The plateau is a prime spot for observing a wide variety of fish, both small and large, as well as reef and pelagic species. The underwater spectacle is so captivating that you won’t know where to look\u2014it’s truly a feast for the eyes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current is moderate to mild, depending on the tide and the proximity of the full moon. If the current is present, maintain neutral buoyancy, face the decorated floor, and admire the show!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diving Mangrove<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The dive begins above a shallow garden of Formosa staghorn coral, where the vibrant colors stand out due to the shallow depth. As we move further into the blue, following the slope, we discover a stunning arrangement of bommies that guide us toward deeper waters. A gentle current allows us to drift effortlessly over a landscape teeming with life and exceptionally well-preserved coral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This site is extremely rich & diversified. Here you can find different species of reef fish, but also scissortail sergeant fish, surgeonfish, pufferfish, unicornfish. The coral diversity is unbelievable and goes as far as eyes can see. The fauna is also very rich with crocodilefish, reef sharks, or turtles. It is indeed absolutely delicious to watch all those different species living together<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the dive, you have good chances to admire white-spotted eagle rays and Marble rays<\/strong> facing the current. The end of the dive site is marked by large submarine cables. Do not venture further, especially if there is a current, as this could lead you to the Blue Corner dive site<\/a>, where the currents can be quite intense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I discovered Mangrove dive site with Warnakali during my holidays in Nusa Penida. it was my first time in the tropics because I used to dive in France, in the South but also in St Malo. That’s why I asked my instructor to dive in an aquarium<\/strong>. I was definitely not disappointed !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we arrived to the dive site, the crystal clear water<\/strong> already won my heart. We quickly went down. I had never seen so many corals and colors. We were totally surrounded by so many fish. I was living a dream<\/strong> !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a tiny current, so it was not necessary to kick, a\u00a0lovely sensation<\/strong>.<\/span> During that dive I also saw white-spotted eagle rays<\/strong> for the first time, it was magical<\/strong>. I really enjoyed every dive I did during my trip, but diving Mangrove was indeed my best memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fourth dive we did to complete our PADI Open water course<\/a> was particularly nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diving Mangrove was great : we didn\u2019t have to use our fins, we just had to drift nice and easy<\/strong>, carried by the current. Nevertheless we had to remain focus on the up & down currents to stay at the good depth. We did that dive with NITROX tanks<\/strong>. Another reason why we will remember this dive for ever !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We really had the feeling of flying<\/strong>, just enjoying that underwater world. It is an incredible sensation very different from walking on Earth. Also, the spot is rich in colors and surrounded by fish & turtles, each one more surprising than the other.<\/p>\n\n\n
